Dialogue on Antisemitism: A Path Towards Understanding and Action

For the first time in Finland, an international conference will bring together researchers, policymakers, and the public to address the pressing issue of antisemitism. In a time when Jewish communities worldwide face growing hate and discrimination, understanding and combating antisemitism has become an urgent priority. Åbo Akademi University’s Inez and Julius Polin Institute for Theological Research will host this pioneering event on 29–30 January 2025 in Åbo (Turku), Finland.

The conference aims to facilitate knowledge exchange between disciplines and open dialogue between researchers, policymakers, and the general public. By exploring the diverse manifestations of antisemitism in contemporary societies, the event seeks to provide actionable insights and strategies to counteract this pervasive phenomenon effectively.

Through keynote lectures, panel discussions, and workshops, participants will engage in cross-disciplinary dialogue to examine antisemitism’s cultural, social, and political dimensions. This groundbreaking event not only highlights the importance of collaborative action but also underscores Finland’s commitment to tackling antisemitism through evidence-based strategies.
