M.A. Patrik Hettula will publicly defend his doctoral thesis in General History with a thesis entitled Contesting the Empire – Fighting the Inevitable: Eurafrican Spaces on the British Gold Coast.

Associate Professor Jon Olav Hove, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway, will serve as opponent and Professor Holger Weiss, Åbo Akademi University, as custos.
