The Language Centre belongs to Finelc, the language centre network of universities in Finland, and via it to CercleS, which is the umbrella organization for European language centres. The Language Centre is also active in the Wulkow Group, an informal network of European language centre directors.

The language cooperation group within the university consortium in Vaasa is called Linguavaasa. Within Linguavaasa, one has the opportunity to participate in language courses together with students from other universities. The languages ​​offered include Spanish, Russian and Chinese.
