A large part of our research has high societal relevance and can be applied to support the management and planning of coastal areas. Our subject Environmental and marine biology plays an active role in the multidisciplinary research profiling area The Sea. The Sea works with complex environmental problems such as climate change and eutrophication in order to find science-driven solutions that enable coexistence between marine and maritime life and the modern society.
