ÅAU leads chemistry project in collaboration with Ukrainian university

Åbo Akademi University has received 79 590 euros in funding from the Finnish National Agency for Education as part of their Team Finland Knowledge (TFK) Ukraine Programme. The programme is specifically targeted towards the support of cooperation with the Ukrainian higher education institutions.

The project Rebuilding education and research in chemistry and chemical technology in Ukraine aims to realize and develop planned collaboration in education and partly in research between Dnipro University of Technology (DUT) located in Dnipro, Ukraine and ÅAU.

“Some of the project activities include curriculum collaboration, cooperation with the business community as well as development and implementation of digital/virtual teaching. We will also receive visitors from DUT, both staff and students”, says project lead Tan Phat Huynh, Associate Professor (tenure track) in Molecular Process- and Material Technology at ÅAU.

 

The project will run from 1 August 2023 to 31 December 2025

The aim of the TFK Ukraine Programme is to support Finnish higher education institutions’ collaboration with Ukrainian partners and support Ukraine with the development and rebuilding of its higher education. Read more about the TFK Programme and the TFK Ukraine Programme here.
