Four remain in the running for Rector at Åbo Akademi University

The candidates are:
PhD Patrik Henelius, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Åbo Akademi University
D.Sc. Reko Leino, Professor, Åbo Akademi University
ThD Mikael Lindfelt, Acting Rector, Åbo Akademi University
PhD Fritjof Sahlström, Dean, Faculty of Education and Welfare Studies, Åbo Akademi University

All four candidates will take part in the University Collegiate Body’s Q&A-session on January 20, 2022.
The rector is chosen by the Åbo Akademi University Board. The Board is expected to make its decision no earlier than February. The new Rector is chosen for a period ending on July 31, 2026.
