Please complete and send the form at least four weeks before the public examination.
 
This information will be used:
• by Åbo Akademi University Communications for the press release on your thesis
• by the university magazine Meddelanden från Åbo Akademi for information on your thesis in the magazine
• by the unit for Research and Education for grants
• by Åbo Akademi University Library for cataloguing the electronic version of the thesis in the publication archive.

  • Information on the doctoral candidate

  • Mark the preferred first name with *.
  • What pronoun do you wish us to use for you in the press release and on the ÅAU website?
  • The phone number will be included in the press release. NOTE that you don't have to give us your phone number.
  • We will use this address to contact you if need be. Your e-mail address will also be included in the press release.

  • Information on the public examination of your doctoral thesis

  • Give the date in the format day.month.year.

  • Information on your doctoral thesis

  • This is needed by the library for correct classification of your thesis.
  • No more than 1 500–2 000 characters (including spaces). If you cannot translate it yourself, please ask someone at your faculty. Please note that the summary should be written in a way that even laymen can understand. If you would rather send the summary by e-mail as an attachment you can use the address communication@abo.fi).

  • If you give us permission and send us a picture of you, we will publish it with the press release. The picture can then be used for example by a newspaper making a story on your thesis.
