English, teacher training
You may choose minor subject studies in English Language and Literature or Didactics for English language teaching in basic education (25 cr).
Basic studies includes language proficiency, insights into linguistics, literary and cultural studies with a focus on Great Britain and the United States, and a language practice period in an English-speaking country. As a student, you will learn how to make connections between today’s English-speaking society and the global evolution of the English language with historical phenomena. You will also gain an understanding of language acquisition and develop your skills in language teaching. The aim is for you to be able to apply your language and subject knowledge particularly in the planning of literature-based language learning activities as well as to discuss and integrate culture in language teaching.
