Cross-studies involve completing courses that are part of a degree at another Finnish university. The study rights are based on agreements between the universities.
In practice, cross-studies take place through various networks between Finnish universities. The networks are mainly subject-specific, which means that students from different fields have access to different study opportunities within the framework of cross-studies.
To undertake studies at another university, your study right at your home university must be valid, and you must be registered as present. As a cross-studies student, you will receive a temporary study right at another Finnish higher education institution, and during this period, you can only take the cross-study courses to which you have been admitted.
Familiarize yourself with both your home university’s and, if applicable, the target university’s guidelines when planning to participate in cross-studies.
