This workshop seeks to address the following questions:
How to do we encounter power, privilege, vulnerabilities, and anxieties in classrooms? How do we maintain an engaged, sensible, and open conversation on sensitive topics (of for example sexuality, religion, gendering, racialisation, migration precarity, or any intersection of these) without triggering injury or resigning to sterile silence?
This workshop considers how we experience personal and political matters in scholarship, in daily life and in classroom encounters. The workshop is for doctoral students and university teachers.
