Welcome to the Music Programme at the upper-secondary school of Vasa Övningsskola!

We offer an all-round programme in which you can combine upper-secondary school theoretical studies and creative work. Our strong musical and music theatre profile offers you an opportunity to develop knowledge of and skills within musical ensemble and group work, with solo elements. You will also gain stage experience, as every course in the programme ends with a concert.

The courses include work within various areas of music studies, such as:

Band playing, ensemble singing, choir singing, songwriting, scenic design, music theatre production and music theory.

The studies culminate in a final project in grade 3 (musical/music theatre). You can also take the upper-secondary school diploma in music.
